I can’t believe we’re at the point of thinking about Christmas already! What a strange year it’s been, but I am so happy that lots is still going on in and near Kent and Medway!

So let’s take a look at what’s on offer this year.

What’s on in Kent and Medway this Christmas

Twilight Christmas at Hever Castle

Enjoy the world where children never grow up as Hever Castle immerse us into the world of Peter Pan! With the possibility to meet characters along with riding the carousel and enjoying the fairground stalls, this is set to be the perfect family Christmas experience!

All tickets must be bought in advance and currently they have availability for Gardens only along with Castle and Gardens. The grotto has unfortunately sold out.

Christmas at Bedgebury

The magical, after-dark, illuminated trail has become one of the most sought after experiences in Kent at Christmas and there are still tickets available.

Explore the light maze and look out for giant baubles and snowflakes where you least expect them. The tunnel of light returns with twinkling splendour and this year, providing a perfect photo opportunity.

And why not keep yourself warm with some lovely mulled wine or hot chocolate and they advise you look out for Father Christmas too!

Ruxley Manor

Making memories with your family is what Christmas is all about and Ruxley Manor have been working hard to keep the magic alive this year.

Dates start from the 14th November for your chance to meet the big man during a 20 minute experience.

Join Mother Christmas on your arrival and enjoy making some food for the hard working Reindeer before moving on to the private Grotto area to meet Father Christmas and your chance for the all important family photo!

Nurse Nellie Saves Panto

11th December 2020 – 3rd January 2021

Are Panto’s gone this year. Oh yes they are…oh no they’re not!! (sorry couldn’t resist). The Marlowe Theatre are not allowing us to go without a panto and have a 70 minute experience ready!

Tickets will sell fast for this one, so get in quick and find out if Nurse Nellie and her friends manage to rescue the joy of pantomime!

Ice Skating at Bluewater

12th November 2020 – 3rd January 2021

Bluewater’s ice rink is returning and from first hand experience, I can say how much fun this is.

Whizz around enjoying the festive music and support your little ones with the penguin and seal aids.

Back by popular demand are party nights with KMFM running every Friday night from 20th November until Friday 18th December!

Christmas at the Castle

28th November 2020 – 3rd January 2021

Leeds Castle have sadly had to cancel their fantastic Christmas Market, but instead are offering us a great family experience to enjoy.

Discover a dazzling array of bespoke Christmas trees made from materials themed to each of the glorious state rooms!

As well as the tree installations children will be able to post their letters to Father Christmas at his special post office, and the Leeds Castle team will make sure that he gets them in time for a special Christmas delivery!

Rapunzel, Panto at Woodville

11 December 2020 – 3rd January 2021

It’s time to ‘let down your hair’ and join in the fun at this socially distanced family pantomime of ‘Rapunzel’.

From the producers of last year’s smash hit Beauty and the Beast, Rapunzel has all the best traditions of a fairytale, but with a new twist and written especially for the whole family to enjoy.

Meet Father Christmas at the Reindeer Centre

14th November – 23rd December 2020

The Reindeer Centre have had to adapt to a Covid Christmas and are offering a 150ft magical grotto experience which will be open for everyone to enjoy all the beautiful scenes.

On the trail you can see and feed the goats, donkeys Llamas and pigs. And even have the opportunity to see the Reindeer.

Mother Christmas will be supporting Father Christmas this year, ready to give you to best experience possible.

28th November – 24th December 2020

Meet Father Christmas in his magical grotto and visit the beautiful farm animals.

With the option to send letters to Father Christmas, visit the cuddle corner and enjoy painting a pot there’s so much to enjoy!

5th December – 23rd December 2020

Enjoy the festive season in this family friendly Kent destination. **The Grotto has sold out ** they’re currently waiting to find out if they can provide additional walk-in experiences, where visitors can enjoy the animals, rides and soft play as usual.
