Self Care & Self Love For New Mums

So you have just become a new Mum, and everything that you would class as your normal has totally gone out of the window!  It now takes you at least 30 minutes just to get out of the door.  But don’t worry you are not alone.

As I am sure you are aware becoming a new Mum is the biggest ever learning journey you will go on.  Everyday will be a new adventure.  I am sure you are already on that emotional rollercoaster of emotions.  That constant worrying of are you doing everything right. 

All I can say from experience is go with your gut instinct that is normally a good judgement to take.  But during all this emotional roller coaster do you ever stand back and think of YOU.  Yes I mean YOU.  Mummy to your bundle of joy, because after all with out you, your little bundle of joy would be lost.  Yes of course Dad does play a part in this, but normally you are their constant.  So how do you keep yourself Constant?

There are two simple things that come into play:

Self Care and Self Love.

Now you may think well that is easy, but when you really think about it when was the last time you looked after yourself? I mean properly took time out and away to have a bit of you time?  If you are really having to think about it then you have not done it enough recently.

Self care checklist

The list is not endless but I think by now you get my drift. All of these things are not hard to achieve but it is all about having time for YOU, having at least 30 minutes of your day to yourself.  So you can have time to reflect on your day, celebrate what has gone well and to also think about if you would change anything.  At the end of the day you are doing a brilliant job this is all new to you and everyday is a learning day.
