Natasha King Shares Fashion Tips

Interview by On the Doorstep of Natasha King @natashakingstyling

“Colours; Big, bright, bold and even neon colours can be found everywhere. Do not be afraid to stand out, wear colours that suit your skin tone and cheer up not only yourself, but everyone around you.

What I love about fashion;

I have always been a visual person and continuously admire people and the way they style their clothes.

I have a love of putting different outfits together and working my wardrobe to its full potential.  My favourite places to shop are Zara, H&M and especially Topshop and ASOS as they do a tall range which I need being 6’1”.  As much as I love buying new pieces, I also love a rummage in a charity shop for classic designer pieces too. My friends have always come to me for advice on outfits and piecing bits together, which is a massive honour!

An item I cannot leave the house without is;

Is my Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream, I’ve used it for years.  I suffer with dry skin, so this is perfect for putting on any dry patches on my face, hands, fly away hair, lips and even on scrapes on the kid’s knees!

Tips for Spring/Summer fashion;

Spring clean your wardrobe and drawers ready for the transition through Spring / Summer. Clear out items that you haven’t worn in years.  Try and think of different ways you can style pieces of items in your wardrobe to make the most out of them.  If you are looking to buy new clothes, try and buy timeless items that will see you through for years and not go out of fashion quickly, this will help you also to be more sustainable.  The most sustainable garment is the one already in your wardrobe.

Trainers are on trend and thank the universe for that!! Proving Comfort can still be stylish!! They are being styled with everything from dresses to suits and are not just for the gym, a tracksuit or jeans anymore!! Nothing adds a bit of a twist on an outfit than a pair of crisp white trainers.  You don’t need to go out and buy brand named trainers either as the high street and online stores have them in every colour, pattern and material.
